We use an asset based approach...
We believe that the people who can help the community the most are the community themselves. That includes you!
With funding from the Paul Hamlyn Foundation we have now got three youth management boards who help run Heart and Sound.
All the boards are made up of 11-24 year olds and cover issues such as
1. sport and diversionary activities
2. Youth work and young people's issues
3. Music, media and the arts.
If you would like to join one of these boards and help shape our community then let us know.

10 Asset Spots
Heart and Sound takes an asset based approach to youth and community work. We look for the positive in people, looking at what they are good at, their potential. Volunteers Rock!
We also love giving young people more opportunities to volunteer and support their peers, whether coaching sports, teaching instruments or training to be youth workers and junior leaders.
